Weycroft Hall ...a unique venue Its History over many centuries talks of Christian purposes being fulfilled dating as far back as the 16th century. The history books record the dissenters at that time using Weycroft and its surrounding area as a secret meeting place. In more recent years Weycroft has been placed in trust for the furtherance of Christian work. Since the establishment of the TASK Centre at Weycroft it has received many visitors both from the UK and overseas, including Germany, America, Chile and Africa, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Mongolia, Russia, Switzerland and Bulgaria. Some have met with the Lord for the first time, others have had their lives changed in significant ways, but nearly all have commented on the strong sense of God’s peace and presence within the boundaries of Weycroft. Many visiting groups have found going away together invaluable in building existing relationships, making new ones, spending time with the Lord and having a great deal of fun. Although the Centre does not focus on outward bound activities we can provide a number of recreational facilities and workshops. Axminster and the surrounding areas offer recreation such as swimming, sailing boat trips, horse riding, sea fishing and coastal walks.
Weycroft Hall is surrounded by three acres of formal grounds offering beauty and seclusion and a sense of space, in addition to the grounds it has a further eighty acres of meadows and woodland with a river marking its boundaries.
