We hope you and your group will enjoy using the Axminster TASK Centre. We try to ensure that from initial enquiry to leaving for home your visit runs smoothly, allowing you to concentrate on getting the most from your time here.
Your Booking: The TASK Centre provides a range of venue and catering options as listed. In order to avoid disappointment, please check the availability of the desired TASK Centre venue via the online calendar before sending the completed booking form and deposit. Payments:
Your provisional booking will be held for 28 days awaiting receipt of the booking form accompanied by a NON REFUNDABLE £100 deposit. 40% of the minimum amount is due 4 weeks prior to your booking and an invoice will automatically be sent to you. Cheques should be made payable to Axminster TASK Centre and sent to Axminster TASK Centre, Weycroft Hall, Axminster, Devon. EX13 7LL. We accept most credit and debit cards via PayPal . Cancellations: Sadly, we have to apply charges for all cancellations. These charges are: Within 1 month of arrival 40% of full fees. Within 2 weeks of arrival 60% of full fees. Within 1 week of arrival full fees. We strongly advise certainty on booking dates, packages and numbers as regrettably deposits are non-returnable.
What we can and cannot offer:
Whilst every effort will be made to provide all the facilities you have booked, circumstances beyond the control of the Centre Management Team may mean changes have to be made. Details printed were correct as of (August 2009) and any changes will be confirmed over the telephone at the time of booking. Errors and exceptions omitted.
Meal Times: Meal times are:- 8-9am breakfast, 1pm lunch and 6.30pm dinner. These times can be varied by prior arrangement to suit your requirements.
A high chair is available (please tick relevant box on booking form if required)
Special Dietry Requirements: We are happy to cater for those with special dietry requirements such as: vegan, vegetarian, lactose or gluten intoleranance, or any other special dietry needs. Please ensure these needs are made clear on the booking form.
Accommodation Requirements: For all ‘SELF CATERED’ accommodation, (including the main house or both main house and barn) you are requested to bring sleeping bags and a towel. We will provide a pillow.
For all ‘FULLY CATERED’ accommodation (including the main house, or both barn and main house) we will provide a pillow, duvet, and a towel. We provide a self serve breakfast, a light lunch and evening meal. Tea and coffee are availble on a self serve basis.
For 'ECONOMY PACKAGE'. Your self catering package includes only the use of the Barn, the Venture Games Room (which has a kitchen) and the grounds. You are requested to bring sleeping bags and a towel. We will provide a pillow. Please note use of the Main House is prohibited.
Cots are available for those with young children. (Please tick the appropriate box on the booking form). Noise:
Although we are based in a non residential area we are restricted with our noise levels. All noise shall cease within the grounds of Weycroft Hall from all entertainment (including fireworks, dj's and bands) promptly at 11p.m. All noise shall quieten to a reasonable level within the Barn and Main Hall at 12 midnight prompt. Parties may continue but we will request any party to stop if the noise levels is deemed unacceptable.
Transfers Transfers from one set of dates to another are not encouraged but may be considered under special circumstances, subject to availability. A single administration charge of £10 will be applied. Requests to transfer within 4 weeks of booking may incur cancellation fees.
Disability Access: Only limited development of Weycroft Hall has been allowed due to the historical nature of the architecture, consequently the building is not suitable for residential visits by the disabled at present although steps are being undertaken to remedy this. For day visits all facilities are on the ground floor. With the exception of guide dogs, it is regretted pets cannot be brought to the Centre.
Security and Safety Car parking is available and visitors are asked to keep vehicles locked. Whilst we endeavour to maintain security, Axminster TASK Centre cannot accept responsibility for personal property / belongings.
Please note there is a strict no smoking rule applying to all buildings. Visitors should check fire notices (displayed around the Centre) to find the route out of the building in the event of fire. Group leaders are asked to ensure that members of their group understand the procedure in case of fire. All visitors are asked to read the Health and Safety notice in the main lobby, copies of this are also displayed in each bedroom. Youth group leaders are reminded that you take responsibility for your group ensuring that there are sufficient leaders / helpers.
Child Protection Policy [CRB] All Axminster TASK Centre staff, residential or employees who may come into contact with visiting groups, hold a current CRB and are registered as such with the appropriate authorities.
All visiting personnel, i.e. essential services and deliveries drivers etc. are always accompanied by a member of staff. We can only be responsible for our own team members and cannot be held responsible for accompanying visiting youth leaders. Please ensure all group leaders who will be attending with your group hold the necessary documents.
General Please make use of all the facilities provided leaving them as you found them and notify reception of any breakage's. Please note all deliberate breakages will be paid for. Any further information please contact us. On paying a deposit for your time at Weycroft Hall, whether in the barn or Main house, you agree to the above Terms and Conditions.
